TSJ specializes in teaching foreign languages: English, French, German, Russian, Italian and Polish for foreigners.

It is a small school which makes it possible for us to offer you not only an individual approach towards our students and a true family atmosphere, but also proffessional teaching methods. Our students feel great in here, which they confirm after finishing the course.

Teaching at TSJ allows to combine liguistic and cultural knowledge and to improve communication skills. It is based on using diversified tasks, which prevents the students from getting bored and motivates to some further learning (simulations of real-life situations, role-playing, group work as well as modern multimedia methods).

The programme involves intense student’s individual work, too, but learning with us becomes a pleasure!

THE ORGANIZATION OF OUR SCHOOL

You can enroll at the school’s front office or via Internet (www.tsj.com.pl). First the students go through the entrance test and an interview with our language coordinators. It is very important as we wish to form groups of students at the same language levels. The entrance test is available on our website.

The school’s front office is open Monday to Friday 11 a.m. – 7 p.m. and on Saturdays 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. You can contact us not only by phone, but also via e-mail, the gadu-gadu messenger or the Internet phone (find the numbers on our website: www.tsj.com.pl).

To provide the most comfortable cnditions for our students we have at their disposal silent, sunny, well-equiped classrooms (CD-players, TV sets, video and DVD-players). Having your coffee at the front office you can read foreign-language magazines or borrow an original-version DVD (we offer over 300 films).

Our students participate in linguistic evening parties, film shows or integration games as well.

THE COURSE

After the first classes (before the second meeting) students may change their group or resign. As it is stated in the contract they sign before the course starts, they receive a full refund at this point.

The way the course is carried out is supervised in each of the groups. Classes may also be visited by our methodologist. All the possible remarks made by the students are instantly looked into. We contact those students who were absent to send them the material covered during their absence or to arrange a catch-up meeting with the teacher during the office hours.

At the end of the course the students write a final test and fill survey forms in, assessing the course and the teacher. The final test is marked according to the percentage method and has to be passed for the course to be continued at a higher level.

After finishing the course the students receive a certificate giving information about the level of the course and the student’s attendance. A good attendance entitles the student to a discount on the next course’s price. There is also a possibility of receiving a certificate of completing the course.

In our teaching process we use the communicative method with the use of audio-visual materials. We use the most recent teaching methods which will help you acquire the right speaking habits , so necessary in everyday life.

GROUP COURSES:

We offer you classes in groups of 4 to 10 people. There is also a possibility of having a 2- or 3-people group.

Such small groups facilitate effective teaching and make it easier for the students to be active and to work on their own.

Our approach to teaching places the student in the centre of the teaching process, which enables us to treat each student individually.

A semester counts 60 classes.

The courses are carried out on all levels in conformity with the European System of Describing the Language Teaching.

INDIVIDUAL COURSES
(general and specialised)

Such courses are flexible and allow to concentrate on the student’s individual needs.

After assigning the student to a particular level we write a programme adjusted to their individual needs and expectations (the subjects, the range of specialised vocabulary, and the introduction of practical grammar are adjusted to students’ needs) .

We offer you a course of 16 classes or as many classes as you choose, according to your needs.

It is also the student who decides about the hours and location of the meetings.

THE METHODS

Our school’s approach lets us be flexible when it comes to choosing the methods and tasks which are the most appropriate at the moment.

We place a great emphasis on the communicative method, which makes it possible to master the necessary skills – the ones you will need in your everyday and proffessional life- fast and in an efficient way.

When choosing the method, we take all the predispositions of our students into consideration. The classes are carried out in such a way as to improve speaking and writing skills, as well as reading and listening comprehension. Integrating all four of these skills makes it possible to master a given language.

The teachers also use the interactive method, which influences the way the classes are conducted.

MATERIALS

On all the levels we use the best available materials, not only textbooks adapted to the students’ needs, but also additional materials presenting the diversity of the language in question (magazines, films, music), which makes the classes more interesting and first of all, more effective.

TEACHERS

All our teachers graduated from a faculty of relevant philology and have pedagogic experience.

It is a team of dynamic people who know how to create a very friendly atmosphere during classes.

They are very interested in their students’ progress and want to help whenever a difficult problem arises. Those students who cannot participate in classes can meet their teachers to catch up with the material. They can also receive all the materials via e-mail or fax.
